Emergency services were called to the scene in Dunmurry overnight.<\/p>\n

Three others were taken to hospital.<\/p>\n

The PSNI said: \u201cAt approximately 3.55am on Saturday police received a report of an ongoing fire at a property in the Areema Drive area.<\/p>\n

\u201cOfficers attended alongside colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, and Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service who extinguished the fire.<\/p>\n

\u201cSadly a woman, aged in her 40s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cA man aged in his 50s, a 19-year-old woman, and 11-year-old girl who were also in the property, were taken onward to hospital for treatment to smoke inhalation.<\/p>\n

\u201cOfficers are continuing to conduct enquiries into the circumstances of the fire. At this stage, however, it is not being treated as suspicious.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Friday the NI Fire & Rescue Service warned people about safety after two other fatal house blazes<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The NI Fire and Rescue Service said it was deeply saddened by another fire death.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe thoughts and sympathies of Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service are with the loved ones of a woman, aged in her 40s, who died following a house fire at Areema Drive, Dunmurry,\u201d a spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirefighters were called to reports of a house fire at 3.51am this morning. Two appliances from Lisburn Fire Station and one from Cadogan Fire Station attended the incident.<\/p>\n

\u201cSmoke alarms alerted the occupants, enabling a man aged in his 50s, a 19-year-old woman and an 11-year-old girl to self-rescue suffering from smoke inhalation. Tragically one female occupant died at the scene.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and utilised hose reel jets and thermal imaging equipment to extinguish the fire.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe cause of the fire is under investigation and firefighters left the scene at 7.04am.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSadly this is the third loss of life within the last 24 hours. It is unusual to have so many house fire fatalities over such a brief period but we have seen a rise in this type of incident this year.\u201d<\/p>\n

The fire service also attended two fatal fires yesterday.<\/p>\n

The first happened at 10.55am at Queen Victoria Gardens in the Fortwilliam area of Belfast, where a young man died.<\/p>\n

Crews from Westland, Whitla and Springfield stations responded to reports of a flat fire, rescuing two people from the property.<\/p>\n

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze. A man in his 20s died at the scene. <\/p>\n

About 90 minutes later, at 12.30pm, crews from Bangor and Newtownards attended a second incident at Abbey Park in Bangor.<\/p>\n

The fire was already out when firefighters arrived, but they provided first aid to three people.<\/p>\n

A woman in her 50s was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n
