Prawn Cocktail\u00a0with Avruga caviar,\u00a0Norfolk Bronze Turkey\u00a0with all the trimmings and a decadent\u00a0Spiced Baba au Rhum\u00a0dessert.<\/p>\n<p>At the bar, guests can toast the season with limited-edition Bacardi cocktails. <\/p>\n<p>Highlights include\u00a0Wizard\u2019s Butter Brew, made with Bacardi Spiced rum, Angostura bitters, allspice liqueur, ginger ale and caramel foam.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, there\u2019s also Sorcerer\u2019s Reserve, a smooth and smoky blend of Bacardi Reserva Ocho rum, Pedro Xim\u00e9nez, Angostura bitters and Demerara cordial.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\tMY VIEW\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p class=\"article-boxout__content__intro\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\tBEFORE the festive makeover was revealed, I popped into the Edinburgh eaterie for a spot of brunch.\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>And even before the festive magic arrived, it\u2019s an impressive looking place.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s an open kitchen right in the centre of the restaurant, so you can see the signature waffles being created.<\/p>\n<p>The whole place is buzzing with life and chatter, making your meal feel like an event.<\/p>\n<p>My main problem was what on earth to choose from the delights on offer.<\/p>\n<p>In the end one of the venue\u2019s classics, eggs florentine. Two perfect poachers were served on top of perfectly wilted spinach and a pair of fluffy waffles. And the whole thing was topped with a sharp and butter hollandaise sauce \u2013 delightful.<\/p>\n<p>My best pal Suzy, who\u2019s vegan, had a wealth of choice, for a change. <\/p>\n<p>She also plumped for waffles, but hers were smothered in creamy avocado and topped with chilli. She was in heaven.<\/p>\n<p>We decided to add a couple of sides and were so glad we did as the corn ribs were the star of the show.<\/p>\n<p>Served with fermented chilli BBQ sauce, they were perfectly grilled and delicious.<\/p>\n<p>Out other sides were classic fried and tenderstem broccoli with hummus and chill crunch.<\/p>\n<p>It was a magical place for a brunch date \u2013 and will be even more special now the festive makeover is in place.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s themed cocktails on the menu too\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A TOP Edinburgh restaurant has unveiled a magical makeover for Christmas.
