This week, the airline shared news of the London route\u2019s debut, setting a just-before-summer launch that\u2019ll be sure to please eager travelers. The London flight\u2019s introduction will follow Alaska Airlines\u2019 new service to Rome, which starts in April.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>The new route gives West Coast travelers an easy path to London ahead of peak summer season<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\" data-wp-class--hide=\"state.isContentHidden\" data-wp-class--show=\"state.isContentVisible\" data-wp-init=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" data-wp-on-async--click=\"actions.showLightbox\" data-wp-on-async--load=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" data-wp-on-async-window--resize=\"callbacks.setButtonStyles\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/AS-787.jpg\" alt=\"Aircraft, Flight, Transportation\" class=\"wp-image-1468736\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>\t\tAlaska Airlines Boeing 787-9 <a href=\"https:\/\/Alaskaair.com\" rel=\"nofollow noskim noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Alaska Airlines \/ Alaska Airlines<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Those set on a spring or summer journey to London can mark their calendars for May 21, 2026, when Alaska\u2019s first trip from SEA to LHR takes flight. That just ahead of Memorial Day weekend, which traditionally signals the start of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.themanual.com\/travel\/summer-travel\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">summer travel<\/a> season. Not only that, but the flight is aboard a state-of-the-art <a href=\"https:\/\/www.themanual.com\/travel\/dreaming-at-35000-feet-a-flight-aboard-boeings-787-9\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner<\/a>, complete with the airline\u2019s beautiful new turquoise-blue livery.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The daily schedule between SEA and LHR is (local times):<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0SEA to LHR: Departure at 9:40 p.m., arrival at 3:05 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 LHR to SEA: Departure at 5:00 p.m., arrival at 6:50 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>Upon news of the new route, Alaska Airlines CEO, Ben Minicucci <a href=\"https:\/\/news.alaskaair.com\/destinations\/alaska-airlines-continues-international-expansion-with-new-flights-to-london-and-reykjavik-from-seattle-with-a-first-look-at-our-new-global-experience\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">said<\/a>: \u201cWith these bold moves, we are accelerating our vision to connect our guests to the world.
