The Met Office has issued another yellow weather warning for severe rainfall affecting seven parts of Wales on Monday. It comes after the forecaster issued a similar alert for parts of mid and north Wales.<\/a><\/p>\n The Met Office said that there is a chance that 70mm of rain could fall in some places and warns that the likelihood of disruption, through flooding and transport issues, is likely due to the recent wet weather<\/a>. The forecast states that a band of rain may become slow-moving and remain over parts of south and southwest Wales on Monday.<\/p>\n The 24-hour warning comes into force at 12.01am on Monday and covers seven areas: Bridgend<\/a>, Carmarthenshire<\/a>, Neath <\/a>Port Talbot<\/a>, Pembrokeshire<\/a>, Powys, Rhondda<\/a> Cynon Taf, Swansea<\/a>.<\/p>\n A Met Office spokesperson said: “A band of rain may become slow-moving across parts of south and southwest Wales during Monday.<\/p>\n “Whilst there is still some uncertainty in how quickly this rain slowly moves southeast across the region, there is a chance that 30-40 mm of rain could fall quite widely with some places seeing 50-70 mm.<\/p>\n “Given the recent wet weather and saturated ground, the likelihood of impacts is higher.”<\/p>\n There is also a yellow weather warning for rain across parts of Ceredigion<\/a>, Conwy<\/a>, Denbighshire<\/a>, Gwynedd<\/a> and Powys from 3pm on Sunday until 11.59pm on Monday.<\/p>\n Residents are told to expect spray and flooding on roads and transport disruption.<\/p>\n There is also a small chance that communities could be cut off by flooded roads, and affected by power cuts.
