Gardai have sadly stood down the search for a missing teenage boy in Co Meath following the discovery of a body on Saturday morning, after a major operation along the River Boyne<\/p>\n

A body has sadly been found in the search for a missing 14-year-old boy in Co Meath.<\/p>\n

Benjamin Spot, 14, was reported missing on November 19 after he was last seen cycling from Market Square in Navan<\/a> <\/a>towards the Kentstown Road\/Ramparts area at around 5.55pm that same day. His bike was found at the Ramparts the following day, November 20.<\/p>\n

Gardai issued a public appeal, saying that both they and Benjamin’s family were “concerned for his wellbeing”. ‘Beni’ was described as being about 5ft 1in tall, with blonde hair and blue eyes. A major search operation was launched along the River Boyne following his disappearance.<\/p>\n

In a heartbreaking update this evening, gardai confirmed that the missing persons<\/a> appeal has been stood down after a body was discovered in Co Meath, the Irish Mirror<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson told the outlet: “Following the discovery of a body in Co Meath earlier today, our appeal in respect of 14-year-old Benjamin Spot who was reported missing in Navan, Co Meath on Wednesday, 19th November 2025, has been stood down. An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na would like to the thank media for their assistance.
