Certain figures have become a bit ‘fed up’ after recent form, and the blame has been placed on the manager for this.

“Some high up at the club believe Maresca has been ‘playing too safe’ and hasn’t been using his squad properly. People like Jorrel Hato have hardly played, and Estevao is not being used as much as some believe he should be.

“Playing players ‘out of position’ was also mentioned to me as a gripe. In-game management is another thing I heard about. His tactics overall have been questioned.”

The Chelsea Chronicle’s view on Enzo Maresca

Chelsea fans need to keep in mind just how bad things were at the club before Maresca took over, with Graham Potter and Mauricio Pochettino’s reins being underwhelming to say the least.

Are you happy with Enzo Maresca as Chelsea manager?

👇 Join the debate; share your insight. Use the comment button on the bottom left to have your say

The Blues are seen as one of the top sides in world football, and last season saw two trophies return to Stamford Bridge. As of now, they are set to move into the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Like the playing squad, Maresca is still in the early stages of what looks set to be a promising career at the very top. He is making mistakes, as he is expected to.

Chelsea should look to give the manager their full backing going forwards, including in the transfer market, after ignoring his demands to sign a new centre-back over the summer.

 Join Our Newsletter

Receive a digest of our best Chelsea content each week direct to your mailbox

As Chelsea fans celebrated returning to winning ways against Everton in the Premier League, Enzo Maresca did not…

[4100
1367,94,79,16,15
0":"post-632240","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-football","8":"tag-enzo-maresca","9":"tag-football","10":"tag-sports","11":"tag-uk","12":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
