A Married at First Sight contestant from Teesside is giving his suit the boot to raise cash for charity. Paul Richardson from Ingleby Barwick<\/a> has decided to auction the outfit he wore for his wedding on the hit TV show this year and the proceeds will be donated to charity Andy’s Man Club UK.<\/p>\n At 60, Paul was one of the oldest to appear on the E4 programme when it aired earlier this year. He was wed to a surprise bride, Anita, but sadly the partnership didn’t work and they became the first couple to leave the show.<\/p>\n Now, Paul, a grandad-of-one, who was born and raised in Scotland, has decided to auction off the cream-coloured suit he wore for the nuptials to raise money for the worthy charity.<\/p>\n Andy’s Man Club is a men\u2019s suicide prevention charity, offering free to attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. It’s aim is to end the stigma surrounding men\u2019s mental health and help men through the power of conversation.<\/p>\n Paul, who is retired from food franchising and property holding, said he went along to the Middlesbrough<\/a> branch of the charity to meet with organisers and find out about the work they do and said it is such a great charity to support.<\/p>\n He said: “This is a charity close to my heart. The work they do is fantastic. There are so many reasons why this is such a good charity to support.”<\/p>\n Key Statistics on Male Suicide in the UK:<\/p>\n Paul, who has three children Ben, 35, Harry, 22 and Emily, 21, said he didn’t appear on the television show in a bid for fame, but if he can use the platform to do some good for charity then he is happy to do that.<\/p>\n He said the three-piece linen suit, which he bought from Next, has the sizing 36 regular trousers and 46 regular jacket and has ‘been worn once’ and had ‘one careful owner’.<\/p>\n Paul said: “The winning bid will be announced at 9am 1st January 2026.
