{"id":63342,"date":"2025-04-30T16:14:08","date_gmt":"2025-04-30T16:14:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/63342\/"},"modified":"2025-04-30T16:14:08","modified_gmt":"2025-04-30T16:14:08","slug":"gps-to-march-to-pmo-in-protest-of-drug-price-display-rule","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/63342\/","title":{"rendered":"GPs to march to PMO in protest of drug price display rule"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" alt=\"perdana putra\" loading=\"eager\" width=\"512\" height=\"320\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"html-img h-auto w-full\" style=\"color:transparent\"   src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/1746029648_419_image\"\/>Private GPs will gather at the health ministry\u2019s headquarters in Putrajaya at 10am on Tuesday before marching to the Prime Minister\u2019s Office.<br \/>\nPETALING JAYA: Private general practitioners (GPs) will march from the health ministry\u2019s headquarters to the Prime Minister\u2019s Office in protest of the mandatory display of drug prices, which comes into effect tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p class=\"py-1.5 mb-4 text-lg\">The protest organised by the Malaysian Medical Association\u2019s private general medical practitioners section will be held on Tuesday, with doctors to gather outside the health ministry\u2019s office in Putrajaya at 10am.<\/p>\n<p class=\"py-1.5 mb-4 text-lg\">The section\u2019s chairman, Dr Parmjit Singh Kuldip Singh, said the peaceful protest would comply with the law and that the necessary approvals would be obtained. <\/p>\n<p class=\"py-1.5 mb-4 text-lg\">\u201cWe demand consultation. We demand justice. Join the march, make your voice heard,\u201d said a poster promoting the march.<\/p>\n<p class=\"py-1.5 mb-4 text-lg\">MMA president-elect Dr Thirunavukarasu Rajoo shared the poster on X, saying the policy was \u201cstrangling\u201d GPs, who were not consulted on the matter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"py-1.5 mb-4 text-lg\">\u201cIf you want healthcare costs to be sustainable, strengthen GPs, don\u2019t strangle us.
