We already knew Sony had some form of PS5 console exclusivity with uber-exciting action RPG Phantom Blade Zero<\/a>, but now we have complete confirmation.<\/p>\n

The latest trailer for the game<\/a>, announcing its 9th September release date<\/a>, has PlayStation-specific small print.<\/p>\n

It says: \u201cPS5 console exclusive. Also available on PC. Not available on other consoles until at least 12 months after release date.\u201d<\/p>\n

So that means you won\u2019t be playing this on Xbox Series X|S or Switch 2 until at least 2027 \u2013 if ever at all.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Obviously, given Microsoft\u2019s well-documented issues, a port to Xbox platforms is not guaranteed. And whether the ambitious outing can be scaled to run on Nintendo\u2019s hybrid hardware is still very much up for debate.<\/p>\n

This confirmation by Sony makes the \u201csecret exclusivity<\/a>\u201d scandal that surrounded Black Myth: Wukong<\/a> even more bizarre, because here\u2019s the platform holder spelling out the exact details of its deal with a similar game.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, if you\u2019re not planning to pick this one up on PC, then PS5 will be your only option for at least a year after launch.<\/p>\n
