But he has previously said that the lack of state-funded security prevents him from bringing his family over.<\/p>\n<p>Well, that hurdle may soon be a thing of the past. According to insiders, the Home Office is currently conducting a threat assessment for the wayward prince, per <a href=\"https:\/\/radaronline.com\/p\/prince-harry-signs-he-might-return-to-uk-risking-meghan-marriage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Radar Online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Harry and his family had their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/2025\/12\/09\/prince-harry-uk-security-review-expert\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">government-funded security removed<\/a> in 2020 after stepping down from royal duties. The Duke hasn\u2019t exactly been shy about criticizing the decision, calling it a \u201cgood old-fashioned establishment stitch-up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This new threat assessment could mean his armed security is set to be reinstated \u2013 presumably making it easier for Harry to consider returning to the UK.<\/p>\n<p>A palace insider told Radar: \u201cThis is the clearest sign yet that Harry is preparing the ground for spending far more time in Britain, possibly even basing himself here.\u201d We hear <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/2025\/12\/15\/ex-prince-andrew-new-home-farm-royal-lodge-exit-source\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Royal Lodge will be free soon<\/a>\u2026<\/p>\n<p>One person who is apparently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/2025\/12\/15\/meghan-markle-uk-return-idea-clear-decision-prince-harry-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">unlikely to be thrilled<\/a> about moving back to the land of baked beans is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/tag\/meghan-markle\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meghan Markle<\/a>. The source added that the potential move \u201cwould bring inevitable tension with Meghan, who has built a life in California and has little appetite for a return. People close to them know it could strain the marriage in ways that may be impossible to reverse.
