A police officer has been accused of contacting sex workers on multiple occasions. The officer, listed in a misconduct hearing notice as Former Officer A, is due to appear before a remote misconduct hearing on Friday, December 19, after it was alleged he breached the standards of professional behaviour.<\/p>\n
The former Merseyside Police <\/a>officer is said to have contacted sex workers on multiple occasions, dishonestly trying to use a police<\/a> officer traffic exemption and an incident of domestic abuse which occurred on various dates between December 9, 2020, and August 4, 2022, while the officer was still serving.<\/p>\n He is alleged to have breached the following standards of professional behaviour; Authority, Respect & Courtesy, Orders and Instructions, Honesty & Integrity x 2 and Discreditable Conduct x 3.<\/p>\n The hearing listing, posted on the Merseyside Police website, said it will be chaired by Merseyside Police Assistant Chief Constable Alex Goss.<\/p>\n It said: “The allegations relate to multiple incidents of contacting of sex workers, dishonestly trying to use a Police Officer traffic exemption and an incident of domestic abuse which occurred on various dates between 09\/12\/2020 and 04\/08\/2022, when former Officer A was still serving.<\/p>\n “This case is subject of an anonymity ruling and reporting restrictions under regulation 39 of the Police (Conduct) Regulations.<\/p>\n “Any member of the public or representative of the media may make written representations before the start of the hearing in respect of the former Officer\u2019s continued anonymity.”<\/p>\n For the latest news and breaking news visit liverpoolecho.co.uk\/news<\/a><\/p>\n Get all the big headlines, pictures, analysis, opinion and video on the stories that matter to you by signing up to our daily and breaking newsletter<\/a>.
