Gary Neville has explained why the “right decision” was made for Antoine Semenyo not to be sent off during Manchester United’s clash with Bournemouth.<\/a> United faced the Cherries at Old Trafford<\/a> in the Premier League<\/a> as they looked to continue their winning form.<\/p>\n United <\/a>took the lead in the clash against the Cherries with a close-range header from Amad Diallo<\/a> in the first half, before Semenyo went on to equalise for the visitors.<\/p>\n Soon after Semenyo got on the score sheet for Bournemouth, a challenge involving the Ghana international was the subject of a potential red card debate. Diogo Dalot and Semenyo battled for the ball in the air, which led to the Bournemouth star landing on the ground.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Man United vs Bournemouth LIVE updates<\/a>READ MORE: Ruben Amorim breaks silence on formation change suggestion for Man United vs Bournemouth<\/a><\/p>\n Semenyo then approached Dalot and appeared to clip the United defender on the neck with his hand, which led to referee Simon Hooper intervening to diffuse the situation.<\/p>\n Hooper then handed out yellow cards to both Dalot and Semenyo, and Neville has explained why it was a “massive risk” from the Bournemouth star.<\/p>\n \u201cIt looked like he’s [Semenyo] giving him [Dalot] a clip in the face, but maybe it’s lower. It’s certainly a massive risk,” said Neville while on commentary duty for Sky Sports.<\/p>\n “I can see why Semenyo’s snapped. Dalot bumped him while he’s in the air – it’s a bit naughty.<\/p>\n “He’s [Semenyo] gone for his [Dalot] neck but he just pulled back.
