A driver has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was hit by a car in Sidcup<\/a> during an alleged argument. Police were called to Foots Cray High Street at around 8.20pm on Sunday, December 14 to reports of a person hurt.<\/p>\n

Upon arrival, they found the victim, a 40-year-old man, with injuries consistent with a collision. It’s believed he was knocked over soon after an ‘altercation’ with the man in custody.<\/p>\n

The two men are thought to be known to each other, the Metropolitan Police<\/a> said. The injured man has since been discharged from hospital, the force added.<\/p>\n

A Met Police spokesperson said: \u201cPolice were called at around 20.20hrs on Sunday, 14 December to Foots Cray High Street, Sidcup to reports of a man injured. It is understood the 40-year-old victim was involved in an altercation with a man thought to be known to him.<\/p>\n

“Following a verbal exchange the second man got into a car which was subsequently in collision with the victim. The victim was taken to hospital with injuries.<\/p>\n

“He has since been discharged. A 40-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and taken into custody where he remains.<\/p>\n
