It saw then-Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp urge his players to celebrate in front of supporters.

It has since been billed as cringeworthy and completely unwarranted. Klopp – who is now working for Leeds and not Liverpool – has said he wanted a turning point and tried to induce it after Origi’s equaliser.

Photo by Andrew Powell/Liverpool FC via Getty Images

But for Liverpool to be angry after Leeds celebrated a home draw last time out at Elland Road, is not only hypocritical after the West Brom game 10 years ago, but Liverpool are a better side than this Leeds team.

To get a point against Liverpool was more impressive than Liverpool drawing with a West Brom side they were expected to beat. Liverpool would do well to remember that they are the cause of their downfall.

 Join Our Newsletter

Receive a digest of our best Leeds content each week direct to your mailbox

It has been a brilliant fortnight for Leeds United.
