A 15-year-old boy has been charged after a teenager was stabbed inside Merry Hill Shopping Centre.<\/p>\n

Police were called to the Brierley Hill shopping centre on Friday, November 28, following reports a 17-year-old boy had been attacked.<\/p>\n

Investigators said he suffered a small cut to his back.<\/p>\n

A teenager, 15, has since been charged with assault and possession of a bladed article in a public place.<\/p>\n

The accused, who cannot be named for legal reasons due to his age, is due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, December 17.<\/p>\n

Two boys, 16 and 18, and a 19-year-old man who were arrested on suspicion of affray and wounding have been bailed pending further enquiries.<\/p>\n

West Midlands Police said it was continuing to investigate the incident and urged anyone with information to contact the force by calling 101 and quoting 20\/458619\/25.<\/p>\n

A force spokesperson said tonight: “A teenager is due to appear in court after a 17-year-old boy was attacked at Merry Hill shopping centre.<\/p>\n

“On Friday, November 28, we quickly responded to reports a boy had been attacked with a knife.<\/p>\n

“He received a small cut to the back.<\/p>\n

“A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with assault and possession of a bladed article in a public place.<\/p>\n

“He is due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.<\/p>\n

“Two boys, 16 and 18, and a 19-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of affray and wounding. They have been bailed pending further enquiries.<\/p>\n

“Our investigation is continuing into the incident and we ask anyone who has not yet spoken to us to come forward.”<\/p>\n

Jonathan Poole, Centre Manager at Merry Hill, added: “Merry Hill has been supporting West Midlands Police<\/a> in its investigation of the incident that took place last month.<\/p>\n
