A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing at a property in Wirral. Merseyside Police was alerted by the North West Ambulance Service just before 3pm on Tuesday, December 16, after reports that a man had been stabbed in the chest at an address on Big Meadow Road in Woodchurch.<\/p>\n
Officers attended the scene and found a man in his 50s with a chest injury. He was taken to hospital for treatment, where his injuries were described as not life-threatening.<\/a><\/p>\n Following a search of the area, police located and detained a suspect in the Rake Lane area.<\/p>\n A 37-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody while enquiries continue.<\/p>\n Residents reported seeing a significant police presence in the area at around 3.30pm today.
