A broken-down train between Shettleston and Blairhill is causing significant disruption to services across Glasgow\u2019s rail network.<\/p>\n

ScotRail<\/a> has confirmed that services between Glasgow Queen Street<\/a> and Airdrie<\/a> are being delayed or revised as a result of the incident.<\/p>\n

In a statement, ScotRail said: \u201cDue to a broken-down train between Shettleston and Blairhill, disruption is expected.<\/p>\n

“Train services between Glasgow Queen Street and Airdrie will be delayed or revised.\u201d<\/p>\n

They have confirmed that the issue is a “challenge” to fix, and as a result, trains are being diverted and skipping Bellshill for the remainder of the day.<\/p>\n

ScotRail added: \u201cThe fault near Bellshill is proving a challenge for the team to fix.<\/p>\n

“Our services will be diverted and will not call at Bellshill en route to Lanark for the rest of the evening.<\/p>\n

“Engineers will return overnight to complete repairs.\u201d<\/p>\n
