A huge fire erupted on a double-decker bus in London this evening, with flames seen engulfing the vehicle at the side of a main road.<\/p>\n

GB News readers can watch footage of the bus – reportedly near Colney Hatch Lane in the north of the capital – hollowed out by the blaze as other cars file past.<\/p>\n

Smoke can be seen pouring out of the top of the vehicle as the fire rips through the rear.<\/p>\n

From the video, it appears that the bus is a number 232 towards Turnpike Lane station – and has come to a halt on the A406 North Circular eastbound.<\/p>\n

Further images from the scene just after 7.30pm show a police officer on the road as the fire continues.<\/p>\n

Transport for London (TfL) has published a travel advisory for the route, which reads: “232 towards Turnpike Lane is on diversion due to an emergency services incident. <\/p>\n

“Stop ‘Colney Hatch Lane’ (CT) is not being served. Please use the previous or next stop to catch your bus to continue your journey.”<\/p>\n

It comes after one of the hottest days on record so far this year, with temperatures peaking in London at 26C at around 3pm, according to the Met Office.<\/p>\n

And just yesterday, another inferno broke out at an electrical substation, this time in Maida Vale, in the west of the capital<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tuesday’s blaze saw 15 fire engines and around 100 firefighters summoned to the scene to tackle the flames – but it remains unclear what the London Fire Brigade has dispatched to deal with this evening’s fire.<\/p>\n
