MEGHAN Markle revealed she has relied on a nanny for five years after she said juggling work and motherhood was “overwhelming”.<\/p>\n

The mum-of-two opened up on her close pal’s podcast, The Jamie Kern Lima Show.<\/a><\/p>\n

Meghan told how jam-packed her morning routine is – before the nanny drops her kids to school and she “jumps into meetings”.<\/p>\n

The confession came just weeks after the former Suits <\/a>actress said “I just need a break” as being a working mum was “incredibly overwhelming”.<\/p>\n

Talking to her friend Jamie Kern Lima, the Duchess said: “This morning was different because Archie has a cold so he’s home from school, but I get up at 6.30am and gives me a minute to – I wish I could say I woke up and meditated – I don’t do that, I have the monitors on so I could hear both the kids.<\/p>\n

“They get up at 7am so I give myself a little bit of time to either put on workout clothes brush my teeth, get both of them, up I get them dressed get them downstairs, make breakfast and then if I haven’t done their lunch boxes the night before then do that.<\/p>\n

“I love doing lunch boxes, it makes me very happy and writing a little note in their lunch boxes…If I don’t have meetings in the morning then I try to do school drop off.<\/p>\n

“They’re at two different schools, so that’s a big circuit.\u00a0So from 6.30am in the morning on drop off mornings for me I’m not home till 9am.\u00a0And then after that I’ll just jump into meetings.<\/p>\n

“And then on other days then I’ll wake up and get them all set and then our amazing nanny who’s been with us for five years, she’ll take them to school for us and then, yeah, we always try to…”<\/p>\n

She added: “I know, that’s morning, that’s the morning, that gets you to 9am.”<\/p>\n

Shortly after came the roll out of her brand\u00a0As Ever<\/a>, despite the company facing a\u00a0series of setbacks.<\/a><\/p>\n

The mum-of-two then dropped Confessions Of A Female Founder, which has already dropped off the\u00a0Spotify\u00a0Top 100 list.<\/p>\n

MEGHAN Markle teared up talking about Archie and Lili on a new episode of her pal’s podcast.<\/p>\n

The Duchess of Sussex<\/a>, 43, also reflected on her motherhood experience – adding “I really want to be good at it.”<\/p>\n

The mum-of-two became emotional when reading out a letter from her children to good friend friend Jamie Kern Lima.<\/p>\n

It is the first time Meghan has been interviewed on a podcast since meeting\u00a0Prince Harry.<\/a><\/p>\n

The former Suits actress revealed she sends “secret emails” to\u00a0Archie\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0Lili\u00a0<\/a>for them to read when they’re older.<\/p>\n

She said: “I thought it was such a great time capsule to create for them and so I created for the kids these email addresses…that I will give them at some point.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Before I go to bed, every night, I email them.”<\/p>\n

Meghan added how she includes pictures of memory items such as their report cards.<\/p>\n

She dubbed it her “love language” and said it’s the smaller gestures that make the difference.<\/p>\n

“I’m just so proud of them,” Meghan added.<\/p>\n

The mum-of-two read out a letter from her children in which they penned: “From Archie and Lili via Papa.<\/p>\n

“We love your cooking. We love your pancakes and we love, love, love your hugs.<\/p>\n

“You’re the best mummy and we love you.”<\/p>\n

After reading the note out loud, Meghan said: “So sweet. I also love that it’s mummy, instead of mommy, which is very British.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, in a teaser clip uploaded on Instagram the Duchess wiped away tears as she said: “I wasn’t expecting this, they’re just so great.<\/p>\n

“This is why it’s so nice to have no make up on, thank you.”<\/p>\n

The Duchess continued: “We spend so much of our life trying to prove something.<\/p>\n

“To prove that you’re enough, that you’re pretty enough, you have to prove that you’re smart enough, a good enough wife, or friend.<\/p>\n

“I was just so done with the prove it game and if you can’t see it I don’t have to prove it to you.<\/p>\n

“That’s your loss because I know that I’m a great friend and know the kind of mum I am, and the kind of human being I am.<\/p>\n

“I know how I show up and I love being able to be that person with the people I love.<\/p>\n

“Maybe part of worthiness comes when you stop having to feel like you’re in the prove it game.”<\/p>\n

Meghan also spoke about her relationship with\u00a0Prince Harry<\/a>\u00a0on the podcast.<\/p>\n

She explained where the nickname H came from.<\/p>\n

“It was probably at the beginning of us dating, when everything was in code,” said the Duchess.<\/p>\n

“People didn’t know we were dating. I couldn’t tell anyone, we were just on a letter basis then and it stuck.”<\/p>\n

The Duchess has also been promoting her\u00a0ShopMy page<\/a>, on which she advertised a controversial “ethical” handbag, where she shares links to her wardrobe and pockets a commission.<\/p>\n

Talking more candidly about their family life, the Duchess revealed daughter Lili still naps and only does half days at preschool.<\/p>\n

“If she wakes up and wants to find me, she knows where to find me, even if my door is closed to the office,” added the mum-of-two, who hailed working from home.<\/p>\n

“She’ll be sitting there on my lap during one of these meetings with a grid of all the executives\u2026 I wouldn\u2019t have it any other way.<\/p>\n

“I don’t want to miss those moments. I don’t want to miss pickup if I don\u2019t have to. I don’t want to miss drop-off.”<\/p>\n

She said “both are just as important” and “really high value for the world”.<\/p>\n

Her guest agreed and said: “Technology\u00a0<\/a>is a beautiful tool for parents because you can dial in and be present and do a great job on the call while you sit in the carpool line outside school.<\/p>\n

“Like, why do I need to be at a desk? I have the same mental opinion in a carpool line.\u201d<\/p>\n

But a royal expert said her claim to be juggling it all is laughable as she never has to struggle.<\/a><\/p>\n

American lawyer and politician Reshma Saujani featured\u00a0on the latest episode<\/a>\u00a0of\u00a0Meghan’s podcast.<\/p>\n

Saujani founded a non-profit organisation and has also\u00a0ran as a\u00a0Democratic<\/a>\u00a0candidate for Public Advocate in 2013, coming third in the primary.<\/p>\n

Speaking on The Sun’s\u00a0Royal Exclusive<\/a>\u00a0show, Matt Wilkinson quizzed royal experts about Meghan’s claims she is a “businesswoman and working mother” on her podcast.<\/p>\n

Wilkinson added: “It seems that the working mother idea now seems to be the direction that Meghan is going and that’s what this whole podcast was about.”<\/p>\n

Royal expert Cameron Walker agreed with our royal editor’s comments and touched on the differences Saujani and Meghan had faced.<\/p>\n

Cameron said: “Well yes and I think that’s the point. Reshma had to work incredibly hard to get to where she was.<\/p>\n

“She didn’t have an $11 million mansion in Montecito, she hadn’t married a prince of the realm.<\/p>\n

“I think something that perhaps some people are going to criticise Meghan for is the fact that yes she is clearly a working mother and yes she is starting to launch a\u00a0business<\/a>\u00a0but she has a lot of support behind her.”<\/p>\n

He added: “She has millions of millions of pounds plus the house, plus\u00a0Prince Harry<\/a>‘s support.<\/p>\n

“So naturally it is going to be easier for her in a start-up business scenario than it has been for Reshma and some of the other people that she is speaking to on this podcast.”<\/p>\n

Experienced\u00a0news<\/a>\u00a0presenter and broadcaster Sarah Hewson also agreed with Cameron’s assessment of the situation.<\/p>\n

She told Wilkinson: “I think this guest Reshma, her story is really interesting and inspiring.<\/p>\n

“But I think your point Cameron that Megan doesn’t have that backstory in the sense of really scrapping to try and build this business from scratch because she’s building this business from a huge platform.<\/p>\n

“And that’s why she’s got the podcast. That’s why she’s got the Netflix series because she is the Duchess of\u00a0Sussex<\/a>.”<\/p>\n
