SWFC were plunged into administration in October<\/a> with the Thai businessman ousted at the same time. Since then, Begbies Traynor have been stabilising the club while fielding interest from takeover parties across the world.<\/p>\n

Now, as the wait drags on for the Hillsborough faithful, The Star<\/a> has revealed that Wednesday is set to be a crucial day. It is said that a final complement of takeover bids are expected to come in today, marking a significant step towards a preferred bidder being named.<\/p>\n

As it stands, three final bidders remain in active talks: Mike Ashley<\/a>, a U.S. consortium led by John McEvoy and the Storch family, and a bid led by James Bord. It has been indicated that the \u00a330m valuation is set to remain in place with the indicative offers of the U.S. group and Bord coming in above that sum.<\/p>\n
