Stan Wawrinka has played and beaten some of the best ATP players in history including Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Wawrinka and Federer are compatriots<\/a>, winning both the Davis Cup<\/a> and an Olympic<\/a> gold medal together.<\/p>\n

The Swiss has reached four Grand Slam finals in his career, with all of them coming against either Djokovic<\/a> or Rafael Nadal<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Djokovic has recently praised Wawrinka<\/a>, but the three-time major winner was put in a tricky situation when asked to rank the Serbian amongst other tennis greats.<\/p>\n

In a blind ranking with Eurosport France, Wawrinka<\/a> was asked to position 10 of the best ATP<\/a> players in history.<\/p>\n

It started with Andy Murray, who Wawrinka believes is better than him<\/a>, and placed in seventh place.<\/p>\n

The first of the big three to come out of the hat was Nadal, who Wawrinka notably placed straight into third place ahead of 14-time Grand Slam champion Pete Sampras<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Current world number one Jannik Sinner<\/a> was then mentioned to Wawrinka, who notably placed him straight into 10th position, while he later put Carlos Alcaraz<\/a> in fifth.<\/p>\n

Wawrinka put himself in ninth place, before positioning record 24-time major winner Djokovic in top position.<\/p>\n

Federer<\/a> was the final name in the hat to come out of the draw, falling into the last remaining spot in Wawrinka\u2019s rankings of number two.<\/p>\n

What has Stan Wawrinka said about Jannik Sinner\u2019s ban from tennis?<\/p>\n

Wawrinka positioning Sinner<\/a> in 10th spot is particularly noticeable, as he has been quite outspoken about his recent ban from tennis.<\/p>\n

Sinner has received many critics<\/a> since accepting a three month ban from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) back in February.<\/p>\n

Wawrinka sent a strong reaction to Sinner\u2019s ban<\/a> in the immediate aftermath of the announcement, and has recently spoke further about why he disagrees with the handling of the case.<\/p>\n
