A second man has been arrested in connection with a shooting which left a man with serious leg injuries. The victim was reported to have been shot twice on the driveway of an address on Radway Road in Huyton<\/a> by two men on a Sur-ron bike.<\/p>\n The incident occurred<\/a> just before 10.20pm on Friday, November 28. The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his leg. On December 1, officers from Nottinghamshire Police arrested a 31-year-old man <\/a>from Nottingham on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm. He has been conditionally bailed.<\/p>\n Detective Inspector Chris Clark from the Firearms Investigation Team said at the time: \u201cAlthough an arrest has been made in Nottingham our investigation is still ongoing.<\/p>\n “If you have any CCTV or dashcam footage of what happened on Radway Road on the night of Friday 28 November please contact us.<\/p>\n \u201cI would like to thank officers of Nottinghamshire Police who executed two warrants in the area and arrested a man inside a house early this morning.<\/p>\n \u201cI hope this arrest and the seizure of the alleged firearm and Sur-ron bike in Kirkby<\/a> sends a clear message to those involved in serious and organised crime that police forces are relentless in pursuing criminals to bring them to justice.”<\/p>\n Merseyside Police have now announced that a 35-year-old man from Allerton<\/a> has been arrested on suspicion of Possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life; Section 18 wounding; Criminal damage; and Possession of cannabis.<\/p>\n He was detained yesterday, December 17, and has also been conditionally bailed pending further enquiries.<\/p>\n Detective Inspector Clark said: \u201cThis investigation is progressing, and this second man is now under investigation. However, we are still keen to speak to anyone with information who has not yet made themselves known.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat you know could still prove vital in bringing those responsible to justice, and please do not assume that we already hold this information.<\/p>\n “Our team will make that assessment, and take the appropriate action. Whether you have a first-hand account, dashcam, CCTV, doorbell or other footage, come forward.<\/p>\n Knowsley<\/a> Local Policing Superintendent Karl Baldwin said: \u201cWe understand the fear that gun crime causes and will continue to provide a visible and proactive police presence in the Huyton community.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is vital that those in the community work with us to reduce the risk.<\/p>\n “Silence is not an option.
