The hard-hitting campaign shines a light on what the charity said is the \u2018harsh reality that not all young people have a safe place to go during the festive season\u2019. They said they need the donations to keep vital services running.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">\u201cFor many of us, Christmas is a time to return home to loved ones,\u201d said Kim James-Coggins, from 1625. \u201cFor hundreds of thousands of young people, this simply isn\u2019t an option.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">\u201cRising living costs and the ongoing housing crisis \u2013 especially in Bristol \u2013 mean more young people are at risk than ever. Donations are essential to help us provide safe spaces and support during the cold winter months,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">This year has seen more than 1,900 young people needing 1625\u2019s help, as figures show homelessness more generally has climbed 25 per cent since the Covid pandemic. Really cold,\u201d said one young person who is being supported by 1625.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">\u201cSome people are sleeping outside shops with nothing but a tiny blanket. If you go back to the real meaning of Christmas, it\u2019s about looking out for others.
