Watch: Car on fire on the Belfast road <\/p>\n

There is knock on traffic disruption on a busy Belfast road this morning as a result of a car on fire.<\/p>\n

The vehicle was on fire on the A2 Belfast Road towards the city, close to the Tesco store at Knocknagoney.<\/p>\n

Pictures seen by the Belfast Telegraph showed flames and smoke coming from the engine of the silver vehicle.<\/p>\n

The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said one appliance attended the incident before the fire was extinguished.<\/p>\n

A NIFRS spokesperson said: \u201cFirefighters were called to a report of a car on fire on the Sydenham Bypass, Belfast.<\/p>\n

“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.<\/p>\n

“The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental ignition and the incident was dealt with by 11.12am.\u201d<\/p>\n
