A popular cocktail bar in Bristol<\/a> is closing permanently this weekend.<\/p>\n

Be At One, which occupies a prime location on the Clifton Triangle<\/a>, will host a boozy send off for its customers on Saturday (Dec 20).<\/p>\n

The bar, part of a national chain, has been a favourite of drinkers since it opened in February 2014, primarily because of its extensive happy hours offering two cocktails for the price of one.<\/p>\n

Be At One targeted the university market, with \u00a36 cocktails on offer to students. Its menu contains over 100 different drinks.<\/p>\n

In an email announcing the closure, the bar’s management thanked customers for the “wild ride” of the past 12 years.<\/p>\n

“We’re closing our doors for the last time, December 20th,” the email said.<\/p>\n

“It’s been a wild ride and we’ve loved every second of it. All that’s left to do now is thank you for every cocktail shaken, every party thrown and every memory made.”<\/p>\n

Be At One is part of hospitality giant Stonegate Group. According to the Stonegate website, the forecast annual turnover for the Bristol Be At One is \u00a3445,642.<\/p>\n

A Stonegate Group spokesperson said the venue would be be “transitioning to a Stonegate Pub Partners venue” which would open in the new year.<\/p>\n

The other Be At One branches in the South West, in Bath and Bournemouth, are not known to be affected by the Bristol closure.<\/p>\n

At least 37 bars and restaurants have already closed, or announced their closures, in Bristol so far this year. A notable recent example was Don Giovanni’s opposite Temple Meads Station<\/a>. The beloved Italian restaurant’s owner Andy Firetto announced the closure at the end of October.<\/p>\n

Don Giovanni’s, a staple of the Bristol food scene for 44 years, will continue trading until January next year.<\/p>\n

The vast majority of the bars and restaurants to close so far this year have been independent businesses. But another chain to close this year was the Harvester in Bradley Stoke<\/a>, which shut down permanently in June. It has since been replaced by a branch of another chain, Lounge.<\/p>\n
