Lara Campana, however,\u00a0decided it was time to set herself the challenge of keeping active and outdoors by taking on two fundraising runs\u00a0and raising \u00a3582\u00a0for the British Liver Trust!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cI\u2019m\u00a0one of the co-founders of Resolution\u00a0Theraputics, based at Edinburgh University  and\u00a0have worked in liver disease research for over 10 years now.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"> I\u2019ve seen\u00a0first-hand the challenges and stigmas which patients in this community and their families endure.\u00a0The British Liver Trust is there advocating for them, day in and day out;\u00a0they are amazing partners to help\u00a0people\u00a0navigate\u00a0this scary disease. So, when I took on a winter fitness challenge, it made perfect sense to support their work at the same time.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Lara opted for two races, the Forth Road Bridge\u00a05K in November and\u00a0the Edinburgh 10K\u00a0on December 7.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cI love being outside\u00a0in all weathers, but it didn\u2019t stop me\u00a0catching\u00a0back-to-back\u00a0chest infections which have made training slightly more challenging!\u201d she says. \u201cHowever,\u00a0I\u2019m really pleased to have completed both runs and to have smashed my fundraising target!\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Audrey Cornelius, Director of Fundraising at the British Liver Trust said: \u201cAs a charity, we are leading the fight against liver disease and liver cancer. We reach over two\u00a0million people each year; providing information and support to patients and families and\u00a0providing\u00a0vital advice to help people improve their liver health.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cBut there is still so much to be done.
