Scott McTominay moved one step closer to another piece of silverware with Napoli<\/a> \u2013 but not before he had to be held back by his teammate during a furious confrontation with England star Fikayo Tomori.<\/p>\n

The Serie A<\/a> champions advanced to the final of the four-team Italian Super Cup tournament in Saudi Arabia with a 2-0 victory over AC Milan and it was routine and largely uneventful in front of a sedate Saudi crowd.<\/p>\n

That was until a flashpoint between McTominay<\/a> and Milan<\/a> defender Tomori brought it to life.<\/p>\n

With 81 minutes on the clock the referee blew for a free-kick for a robust challenge from McTominay before the ball rolled to Tomori \u2013 who blasted it back in the direction of the Scotland star.<\/p>\n

McTominay was immediately incensed and the referee was forced to race over when the midfielder got in his opponent’s face to let him know what he thought.<\/p>\n

The two butted heads with McTominay having to be restrained by striker Lorenzo Lucca as things threatened to get out of hand.<\/p>\n

Handbags followed with even Napoli keeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic racing to the halfway line to help calm the situation down.<\/p>\n

In the end it was a booking apiece and Napoli saw out the remaining ten minutes to set up a final with either Bologna or Inter on Monday night.<\/p>\n
