More than 20 drivers faced police action during the dedicated road safety Operation Advance in Birmingham city centre.<\/a><\/p>\n

West Midlands Police<\/a> stopped 22 vehicles on Tuesday, December 16, and brought them to their site in the city centre.<\/p>\n

Of those two had been stolen and will now be returned to their rightful owners and four were seized because they had no insurance. Another 10 had illegally tinted windows.<\/p>\n

Police said three drivers were dealt with for using their phone and two were dealt with for not wearing a seatbelt.<\/p>\n

The Multi Agency Road Safety Operation was led by the Road Harm Prevention Team within the Roads Policing Unit.<\/p>\n

It brought together a wide range of partners who all share the same goal \u2013 keeping our region\u2019s roads safe.<\/p>\n

This Christmas<\/a>, police are also part of Op Limit \u2013 a national crackdown on drink and drug drivers.<\/p>\n

Officers are highly trained to spot them, and have the technology to test for it. If you\u2019re over the limit, you will be arrested. No excuses.<\/p>\n
