Yasmeen Ali faces three charges<\/p>\n

A woman has appeared in court charged with killing her three children.<\/p>\n

Yasmeen Ali, 43, is accused of murdering seven-year-old Fares Bash, three-year-old Joury Bash and nine-month-old Mohammed Bash.<\/p>\n

The three children died of stab wounds after an incident at their home in the Sea Mills area of Bristol in February last year.<\/p>\n

During a brief hearing at Bristol Magistrates\u2019 Court, Ali, who appeared via video link from hospital, spoke only to confirm her name and date of birth.<\/p>\n

Judge Lynne Matthews said: \u201cThese matters all have to be heard by the crown court.<\/p>\n

\u201cA hearing will take place at Bristol Crown Court tomorrow.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will remand you into custody.\u201d<\/p>\n

The charges relate to an incident in Blaise Walk, Sea Mills.<\/p>\n

An inquest previously heard the three children died of knife wounds, with injuries to their chests and necks.<\/p>\n

Fares Bash also showed possible signs of asphyxia.<\/p>\n

The inquest opening was attended by the children\u2019s father, Alfil Bash.<\/p>\n

Speaking outside the hearing, he cried as he spoke of his devastation at the loss of his children and said he \u201ccould not get his head around what had happened\u201d.<\/p>\n
