Didi Hamann has warned Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz that Liverpool could look to sell the pair next year if they don\u2019t improve. But he is yet to produce a goal contribution in the English top-flight since joining Liverpool, with his overall Reds record standing at zero goals and three assists from 21 appearances.<\/p>\n Liverpool are currently enjoying a five-game unbeaten run in all competitions following morale-boosting victories over Inter Milan and Brighton & Hove Albion, and sit seventh in the Premier League table heading into the festive period – two points off the Champions League<\/a> places.<\/p>\n Should the Reds miss out on Europe\u2019s elite competition next season, Hamann does not think they will be forced to sell players – despite a \u00a3450m spending spree last summer – or that any of their stars would push to leave.<\/p>\n However, he has warned both Isak and Wirtz that Liverpool could look to move the pair on if they are not performing for the Reds as he even suggested Barcelona as a possible destination for the Swede.<\/p>\n “I think Liverpool will be okay financially, even without the Champions League, because they wouldn’t have spent the money they did if they couldn’t afford it,\u201d he told JeffBet<\/a>. \u201cLiverpool haven’t been big spenders before last summer and they tend to spend the money wisely.<\/p>\n \u201cIf Liverpool don\u2019t perform, then they won\u2019t be forced to sell. However, players like Alexander Isak or Florian Wirtz may have their futures looked at if they aren\u2019t performing and the club aren\u2019t in the Champions League.<\/p>\n “I’m not sure Liverpool will sell anyone in January, but if things don’t pick up for Alexander Isak come March or April, they’ll probably have discussions to sell him to a club like Barcelona in the summer.<\/p>\n \u201cThere will be plenty of takers for Isak because he’s shown his ability at Newcastle. It also largely depends on the form of Ekitike, because if he continues to improve, it will be a struggle for Isak to get games unless he’s forced out wide.”<\/p>\n This is not the first time Hamann has been outspoken on compatriot Wirtz since his move to Liverpool.<\/p>\n Appearing on \u201cTriple \u2013 the Hagedorn Football Talk\u201d on Sky Germany last week, the former Reds midfielder went as far as to suggest the playmaker would be questioning his decision to move to Anfield.<\/p>\n \u201cAs things stand, he\u2019s misjudged the situation,\u201d he said. \u201cHe obviously had a difficult start; there was mourning at the club after the tragic death of Diogo Jota.<\/p>\n \u201cBut it\u2019s almost Christmas now, and he hasn\u2019t scored a goal or decided a single game.
