People are being reminded by the Fiji Revenue and Customs Service that\u00a0a valid Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) is a mandatory requirement for opening\u00a0and maintaining Mobile Wallet accounts.<\/p>\n
The FRCS says in accordance with the 2025\u20132026 National Budget\u00a0Promulgation, all customers must update their details with their respective e-wallet service\u00a0providers no later than 31st December 2025.<\/p>\n
They strongly urge all customers to obtain a valid TIN if they do not already have one, update their account details with their e-wallet service providers as well before 31st\u00a0December 2025.<\/p>\n
For businesses, in addition to the general TIN requirement, they must maintain a separate e-wallet\u00a0account exclusively for business transactions.<\/p>\n
The FRCS says businesses are urged to ensure that these\u00a0accounts are correctly registered with a valid TIN and used solely for business purposes.<\/p>\n
They say non-compliance may also lead to a suspension of services from the e-wallet service\u00a0providers.<\/p>\n
FRCS says they continue to work closely with all licensed e-wallet service providers to facilitate the\u00a0smooth rollout of these requirements.<\/p>\n
