The developer is set to submit a planning application to Birmingham City Council next year.<\/p>\n<p>The consultation closes on Monday December 22 with views submitted to be summarised in the planning application. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"695\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/former-mands-Bluecastle-1024x695.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14232\"  \/>Plans for BIrmingham city centre including 42 High Street<\/p>\n<p>The development will provide approximately 700 build-to-rent homes, together with new landscaping and tree planting in and around the building,\u201d said a Bluecastle Capital spokesperson.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe site is part of Birmingham\u2019s City Centre Growth Area and offers a unique opportunity to develop a landmark building, representing a new front door to the city.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The wider plans for the city centre are shown in the map above with 42 High Street highlighted in bold pink.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"769\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-12-19-at-8.26.35-AM-3-1024x769.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-14233\"  \/>Well Home has opened inside the former M&amp;S building in HIgh Street, Birmingham<\/p>\n<p>In the shorter term, the former M&amp;S building is partly back in use after Well Home store opened in the ground floor this week.
