TNT Sports presenter Orla Chennaoui has revealed she was mugged in London earlier this month, shortly after hosting a university event featuring former US secretary of state Hillary Clinton<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Chennaoui is best known for presenting cycling coverage on TNT Sports and was a key part of Discovery’s coverage of last year’s Paris 2024 Olympic Games.<\/p>\n

In a social media update with fans,\u00a0Chennaoui revealed the distressing story of how she had her phone snatched out of her hand in London.<\/p>\n

Chennaoui revealed in a packed week she had been invited to return to Queen’s University Belfast<\/a> to host an anniversary dinner featuring Clinton.<\/p>\n

Clinton, who was named as the chancellor of the university back in 2020, revealed an \u00a38million bursaries fund to help more students access higher education.<\/p>\n

Chennaoui stated she was ‘completely overwhelmed’ by hosting the event featuring Clinton.<\/p>\n

The presenter then revealed that she had been mugged the following morning in London, with her phone being snatched from her hand.<\/p>\n

‘I was mugged on the way to the station the following morning,’\u00a0Chennaoui said.<\/p>\n

‘Total clich\u00e9, hooded gent on a bike snatched it out of my hand.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Panic for the family, who only heard me screaming before the phone went dead, and couldn’t get hold of me…<\/p>\n

‘But in the end could have been much worse, only a stolen, no bodily damage.’<\/p>\n

\u00a0Chennaoui added that her week had a further negative moment after she needed to have surgery on her left hand.<\/p>\n

\u2018When I cut my finger while crafting with my daughter last week, turns out I\u2019d slice to the bone and severed a tendon.<\/p>\n

\u2018Surgeon took one look and decided we had to operate on the spot (thank you for foregoing your lunch break Dr.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019ll save you the gory pics, but this is what I\u2019ve been left with for now.<\/p>\n

\u2018So in the same week that I was mugged, I was left with one inoperable hand<\/p>\n

\u2018Sometimes good stuff happens, sometimes bad, the universe isn\u2019t out to get you, it just is what it is.\u2019<\/p>\n
