Stephen Jamieson has appeared in court in Scotland following his extradition from Dubai.<\/a><\/p>\n

Jamieson, 42, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court<\/a> on Friday facing gangland activity charges.<\/p>\n

He was charged <\/a>with six offences including directing serious organised crime and involvement in serious organised crime, and four offences concerning the supply of drugs.<\/p>\n

The alleged offences date from 2020.<\/p>\n

He made no plea and was remanded in custody.<\/p>\n

Jamieson will be expected to reappear in the dock within the next eight days.<\/p>\n

Jamieson was taken into custody in Dubai in September on the same day as Ross McGill, 31, Steven Larwood, 42, and Steven Lyons, 44.<\/p>\n

Jamieson was brought back to Scotland earlier this week by Police Scotland who thanked the National Crime Agency law enforcement agencies in the UAE<\/a> for thier help<\/p>\n

Jamieson’s court appearance comes as Police Scotland<\/a> continue with Operation Portaledge to tackle gangland violence in Scotland.<\/p>\n

The operation was launched in March in response to a series of firebombings and other attacks on people and property in the Edinburgh and Glasgow areas linked to a long running feud between the Lyons and Daniel crime clans.<\/p>\n

Ross McGill, who is a former leader of Rangers fan group<\/a> The Union Bears, launched the feud on the streets of Scotland by ordering his Tamo Junto gang (TMJ)<\/a> to firebomb and shoot bullets at businesses and homes in Edinburgh and East Lothian linked to Mark Richardson earlier this year.<\/p>\n

The bitter spat broke out after cocaine kingpin Richardson’s cronies were paid \u00a3500,000 in fake notes in a botched drug deal. The war then spread to Glasgow as McGill targeted the notorious Daniel crime clan<\/a> over their long-term association with Richardson.<\/p>\n

A truce was reported to have been agreed on May 30, but the following day Ross Monaghan and Eddie Lyons were shot dead outside a bar in Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol.<\/a><\/p>\n

Five Scots were arrested in September in United Arab Emirates in connection with alleged organised crime activity.<\/p>\n

A Police Scotland spokesperson said on Friday: “A 42-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with serious organised crime offences across Scotland during 2020.<\/p>\n

“He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today, Friday, 19 December, 2025.<\/p>\n
