{"id":643246,"date":"2025-12-20T00:44:13","date_gmt":"2025-12-20T00:44:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/643246\/"},"modified":"2025-12-20T00:44:13","modified_gmt":"2025-12-20T00:44:13","slug":"christmas-day-2023-londons-best-lunches-from-bob-bob-ricard-to-enoteca-turi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/643246\/","title":{"rendered":"Christmas Day 2023: London\u2019s best lunches, from Bob Bob Ricard to Enoteca Turi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Many Young\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.standard.co.uk\/going-out\/bars\/londons-best-pubs-b1124930.html\" rel=\"follow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">pubs<\/a> are offering Christmas Day menus (the Windmill in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.standard.co.uk\/topic\/clapham\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Clapham<\/a> looks like a winner) but for sheer feelgood factor none beat the Guinea in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.standard.co.uk\/going-out\/restaurants\/best-restaurants-mayfair-london-scotts-sketch-sabor-b1017503.html\" rel=\"follow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mayfair<\/a>, tucked down a mews off <a href=\"https:\/\/www.standard.co.uk\/topic\/berkeley-square\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Berkeley Square<\/a> and serving rib-sticking British classics since 1952 (there\u2019s been an inn on the site since 1423). Expect pretty much everything you would hope to find on a Christmas lunch menu, with very civilised opening hours of 11am-5.30pm: rock oysters washed down with Champagne ahead of butter-poached ballotine of Norfolk turkey with maple and chestnut stuffing, or carved dry-aged rib of beef with a lamb cutlet, both served with immense trimmings of roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, cauliflower cheese, Yorkshire pudding, honey-glazed carrots and Brussels sprouts.
