Police seized the drugs in Portadown.<\/p>\n
Four people have been arrested after a major seizure of Class A drugs in Co Armagh.<\/p>\n
The drugs, with an estimated street value of \u00a3500,000, were recovered in Portadown yesterday.<\/p>\n
Detective Inspector Stickland said: \u201cShortly before 5pm on Friday, officers stopped and searched a vehicle in the vicinity of Northway, Portadown.<\/p>\n
\u201cFollowing the search a significant seizure of Class A controlled drugs was made along with a sum of cash.<\/p>\n
“The two occupants of the car, a 25-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, were arrested on suspicion of a number of drug-related offences and conveyed to custody where they have since been released on bail pending further police enquiries.<\/p>\n

“A short time later, two men were stopped acting suspiciously within the vicinity of church grounds in the Garvaghy area. Following a search of the surrounding area a significant quantity of suspected Class A controlled drugs were seized.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe men, aged 20 and 40, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a Class A controlled drug. They remain in custody at this time.<\/p>\n
“Follow up searches were conducted by officers from the Tactical Support Group and Fermanagh District Support Team in properties in Garvaghy and Craigavon which resulted in the seizure of a sum of cash and a quantity of suspected Class A drugs.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe suspected Class A drugs will now undergo further forensic examination.<\/p>\n
