{"id":644605,"date":"2025-12-20T17:19:34","date_gmt":"2025-12-20T17:19:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/644605\/"},"modified":"2025-12-20T17:19:34","modified_gmt":"2025-12-20T17:19:34","slug":"leeds-united-transfer-target-josh-mulligan-addresses-speculation-over-his-hibernian-future","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/644605\/","title":{"rendered":"Leeds United transfer target Josh Mulligan addresses speculation over his Hibernian future"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Hibernian midfielder Josh Mulligan has addressed reports that he could leave the club as Leeds United and several other suitors monitor his progress.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Josh Mulligan has made a significant impression in his first season with Hibernian, having joined the club from Dundee in the summer.<\/p>\n<p>The 23-year-old has caught the eye of several clubs in England and Europe, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/transfers\/leeds-united-face-josh-mulligan-competition-as-european-giants-enter-transfer-race\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leeds linked with a move<\/a> for the talented midfielder. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/transfers\/manager-suggests-his-star-is-not-thinking-about-a-move-to-leeds-united-right-now-despite-approach\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hibs manager David Gray attempted to quash<\/a> any suggestion that Mulligan was considering a move away from the club recently, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/transfers\/leeds-united-trailing-nottingham-forest-in-new-transfer-race-for-outstanding-midfielder\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nottingham Forest also reportedly interested<\/a> in his signature. <\/p>\n<p>Now, Mulligan has spoken out about his future, as he looks to continue his impressive rise in the Scottish Premier League. <\/p>\n<p>           Do YOU want Leeds to sign Josh Mulligan in January? <\/p>\n<p class=\"grv-talking-point__subtitle\">He seems like a genuine wonderkid \ud83d\ude0d<\/p>\n<p> \ud83d\udc47 Join the debate; share your insight. Use the comment button on the bottom left to have your say <\/p>\n<p>   Josh Mulligan discusses Premier League transfer interest<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the press, via the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KvwScToDcfY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Hibernian YouTube Channel<\/a>, prior to Hibs\u2019 game against Dundee United, Mulligan attempted to flat-bat any conversation about a move away from the club. <\/p>\n<p>According to Mulligan, he is used to links suggesting he could move south to England, having also been subject to speculation when he left Dundee. <\/p>\n<p>MORE LEEDS UNITED STORIES<\/p>\n<p>Asked how he felt about the links with English clubs, the playmaker said: \u201cI was obviously rumoured when I was at Dundee.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd that was quite difficult when you\u2019re playing for Dundee, and there\u2019s a lot of other teams that are [interested], and I think I dealt with it well then.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"819\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/GettyImages-2248599885-1-1024x819.jpg\" alt=\"Josh Mulligan ahead of Hibernian v Celtic - William Hill Premiership\" class=\"wp-image-122411\" \/>Photo by WM Sport Media\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo I\u2019m just going to be the same person and just focus on the football first and don\u2019t look into that too much.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Leeds United transfer target dreaming of World Cup place<\/p>\n<p>Leeds have a long association with the Scottish national side, with the likes of Billy Bremner, Peter Lorimer, Gordon Strachan and, more recently, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsunited.news\/tag\/liam-cooper\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Liam Cooper<\/a> all representing the Tartan Army. <\/p>\n<p>Mulligan currently has 16 caps for Scotland\u2019s under-21 side, but he is yet to make his senior debut for the national side. <\/p>\n<p>With Scotland set to take part in their first World Cup since 1998 this summer, Mulligan admitted he is keen to take his place in the squad, as he said: \u201cYou kind of put it to the back of your mind.<\/p>\n<p> Should Leeds follow Nottingham Forest\u2019s path and risk a points deduction? \ud83d\udcb8 <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-text-align-left is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThis summer, we spent everything we could. But I think it\u2019s just important that I focus on the games at Hibs. They\u2019re the most important. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you\u2019re going to think about it. If I can get on that plane, then that\u2019s the most important thing.
