Tommy Doyle has accepted responsibility for his rash red card in Birmingham City\u2019s 3-0 defeat to Sheffield United.<\/a><\/p>\n The midfielder was sent off for a challenge on Gustavo Hamer in the 18th minute at Bramall Lane.<\/p>\n Blues<\/a> were already one-nil down but Doyle\u2019s<\/a> dismissal killed their hopes of avoiding an eighth away league defeat of the season.<\/p>\n \u201cNo complaints on the red card and he’s accepted responsibility for it because that’s not what I want from this team,\u201d said Blues manager Chris Davies.<\/a> \u201cThat’s not the sort of team we are and this can cost you and it did today.\u201d<\/p>\n Blues have now suffered three red cards this season with Doyle adding to Jack Robinson\u2019s dismissals against Coventry City and Hull City. No team in the Championship has picked up more red cards than Blues.<\/p>\n Davies accepts that Blues need to sort out their disciplinary record.<\/p>\n \u201cIll-discipline has cost us,\u201d he admitted. \u201cWe’ve had three red cards this season from memory and two of them in some of the hardest away venues you could get and early in games.\u201d<\/p>\n Doyle will now miss Blues\u2019 festive fixtures against Derby County, Southampton and Watford after the first red card of his professional career.<\/p>\n Is a lack of discipline a problem for Blues?
