A boy was rushed to hospital tonight with injuries after a hit-and-run moped collision.<\/p>\n

The rider of the moped failed to stop at the scene, Greater Manchester Police<\/a> confirmed as investigations continued.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to Denton<\/a> in Tameside<\/a> at around 6pm on Saturday night after reports of a collision.<\/p>\n

It happened on Circular Road, near to its junctions with Bramhall<\/a> Walk and Kedleston Walk.<\/p>\n

Police said the boy, who hasn’t been named, was taken to hospital, but thankfully his injuries were not said by GMP to be life-threatening or life-changing.<\/p>\n

Road closures were put in place around the area, but they have now been fully lifted.<\/p>\n

In a statement to the Manchester Evening News, GMP said: “We responded to reports of a collision between a child pedestrian and moped on Circular Road, Denton at 6pm this evening (20 December 2025).<\/p>\n

“The child was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries not described as life threatening or changing.<\/p>\n

“The moped is thought to have left the scene and enquiries are ongoing. The road closures have been lifted.”<\/p>\n

It’s understood police enquiries are ongoing.<\/p>\n

No age for the boy has been released.<\/p>\n
