Boxing legend Tyson Fury has ditched the UK for the tax-friendly Isle of Man<\/a>, just weeks after Rachel Reeves<\/a>\u2019s Budget. The heavyweight boxer, 37, is understood to be living in an \u00a38million mansion outside the island\u2019s capital, Douglas<\/a>, with wife\u00a0Paris, 36 and their seven children.<\/p>\n

The Isle of Man<\/a> is known for its generous tax rates, with income tax<\/a> currently at 21% compared to a 40% higher tax rate in the UK. The former boxing world champion is currently liable for a 45% tax due to his earnings exceeding the \u00a3125,140 threshold. Companies House<\/a> filings dated December 1 confirm the boxer has officially changed his country of residence to the self-governing Crown Dependency.<\/p>\n

His wife has also done the same in her own business records.<\/p>\n

The boxer is estimated to be worth approximately \u00a3160million, with the island often appealing to high-net-worth individuals due to its lack of inheritance tax.<\/p>\n

Fury has not publicly commented on the move, but a source told The Sun: \u201cTyson has been telling pals that he has moved to the island.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is very fond of the Isle of Man<\/a> and has been telling residents that he is looking forward to making it his home.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe couple have also been checking out schools in the area for their youngest kids.\u201d<\/p>\n

It comes just weeks after the Chancellor Rachel Reeves<\/a> introduced a new levy on properties exceeding \u00a32million in value, a value the couple\u2019s family home in Morecambe<\/a> comfortably exceeds.<\/p>\n

Fury was spotted earlier this year travelling by ship to the island, which is serviced by crossings from Liverpool and Heysham, close to the Fury family home in Morecambe<\/a>.<\/p>\n

One traveller said on Facebook<\/a>: “I had the privilege of meeting and chatting with this amazing guy and his family on the Manxman this morning.”<\/p>\n

The former world champion was seen in a Terry\u2019s Tatos in Douglas last week, where he was reported to have spent around \u00a360.<\/p>\n

Director Rachel Marsland, 47, said: \u201cI turned around and saw Paris Fury walk through the door, and I recognised her instantly \u2013 then I turned and saw Tyson ducking in the door.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was like: \u2018Have you got enough spuds for us?\u2019 I said: \u2018How many of you are there?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cHe said: \u2018Nine of us.\u2019 At that point I was shutting in 15 minutes so there were nine potatoes left in the oven.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was like: \u2018Brilliant \u2013 there are nine of us so we will buy the lot.\u201d<\/p>\n

In June, it emerged that the boxer\u2019s company, Tyson Fury Ltd, held \u00a3162 million in cash and investments. The firm\u2019s value had increased by \u00a382 million since 2023, yet Tyson paid himself only \u00a3100,000.<\/p>\n
