Manchester City are interested in a blockbuster move for Leeds United starlet Harry Gray.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gray signed a new deal at Leeds<\/a> earlier in the season to end any transfer links away from Elland Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The forward is seen as arguably the brightest prospect at Thorp Arch, with Tottenham showing interest in Gray<\/a> already this year.<\/p>\n

The brother of Archie Gray, Harry is a Leeds fan<\/a> and has already made his first-team debut, but is yet to make a Premier League<\/a> appearance.<\/p>\n

The high potential of Gray<\/a> has already resulted in transfer links elsewhere, with Manchester City the latest to throw their cap in the ring.<\/p>\n

Gray is central to a fight between England and Scotland<\/a> over landing the allegiance of the youngster on the international stage.<\/p>\n

That sort of battle could soon be replicated between clubs as the teenager continues to drum up transfer interest away from Yorkshire.<\/p>\n

Alan Nixon has reported via his Patreon<\/a> on 21 December that Man City are planning a deal to sign Gray from Leeds in a \u201cmassive deal\u201d.<\/p>\n

The 17-year-old may be central to a \u00a340million price tag from the Whites due to his status as a future starter in LS11.<\/p>\n

He has been on the Citizens\u2019 radar for some time, and there is now an expectation for a bid, with potentially a swap deal in the pipeline.<\/p>\n

Kalvin Phillips<\/a> has been namedropped by Nixon, but his current wages at the Etihad are seen as a \u201cmajor problem in any possible return\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Englishman would be welcomed back with open arms, but it feels unlikely as part of a deal for such a bright talent.<\/p>\n

Leeds must keep hold of Gray at all costs<\/p>\n

The prospect of landing \u00a340m for a player who has only featured once under Daniel Farke is surely attractive to the Leeds hierarchy.<\/p>\n

That sort of fee could be distributed throughout the squad and provide improvement in January ahead of the second half of the season.<\/p>\n

That may be the case, but having a talent as elite as Gray in your academy is something that comes around once in a blue moon (ironically).<\/p>\n

The teen could be worth double that \u00a340m someday, so letting him go at this stage could prove to be a massive mistake.<\/p>\n

Leeds have the future of their forward line ready in waiting, so they can\u2019t just bow down to Man City this season.<\/p>\n
