{"id":646185,"date":"2025-12-21T11:53:12","date_gmt":"2025-12-21T11:53:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/646185\/"},"modified":"2025-12-21T11:53:12","modified_gmt":"2025-12-21T11:53:12","slug":"council-issues-warning-over-household-waste-dumped-by-public-litter-bins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/646185\/","title":{"rendered":"Council issues warning over household waste dumped by public litter bins"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n                Wrexham.com &gt; News\n              <\/p>\n<p> <strong>Posted:<\/strong> Sun 21st Dec 2025 <\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/SCR-20251219-kqrc-840x562.jpeg\" alt=\"Wrexham.com for people living in or visiting the Wrexham area\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Residents who dump household waste next to public litter bins face a hefty fine or even prosecution.<\/p>\n<p>That is the warning from Wrexham Council amid a rise in rubbish being fly-tipped near bins across the county borough.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t           &#13;<br \/>\n\t\t         &#13;<br \/>\n\t\t&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p>Large quantities of bin bags filled with clothing, cardboard, household waste and newspapers have been recovered by Wrexham Council in recent weeks.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"840\" height=\"420\" class=\"img-responsive alignnone  size-full img-responsive  wp-image-282824\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Flytippingbins-1.jpg\" alt=\"\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Councillor Terry Evans, Wrexham Council\u2019s Lead Member for Environment, said: \u201cDumping bags of rubbish and other household waste next to public litter bins might seem harmless, but it\u2019s illegal, unsightly and can attract vermin \u2013 creating problems for people who live nearby.<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t&#13;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlease don\u2019t be tempted to leave your household waste next to a public bin \u2013 pop it in your bin or recycling containers at home if appropriate, or take it to one of our Household Recycling Centres at Plas Madoc, Brymbo or Wrexham Industrial Estate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Residents are also being urged to ensure that they use a licensed operator if paying for a \u201cman with a van\u201d to remove rubbish.<\/p>\n<p>Licensed operators will have a \u2018carriers\u2019 licence and you can check if they have one by searching on the Natural Resources Wales website.<\/p>\n<p>You should also make sure they give you the appropriate paperwork, guaranteeing they\u2019ll dispose of your rubbish properly.<\/p>\n<p>Fly-tipping offences can result in fixed penalty notices or prosecution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Spotted something?
