It’s been a bloody three days for London<\/a> with two killings and a knife fight between Wednesday and Friday (December 17 to 19). In Maida Vale<\/a> a man was stabbed to death, and another man was shot dead in Stonebridge<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Met said it does not believe the two killings are linked. Down in South London officers had to rush to Colliers Wood Underground station at about 10.30am on Wednesday (December 17) to reports of a knife fight.<\/p>\n Despite this, the London Violence Reduction Unit reports that under-25 killings are down more than 50 per cent last year. There were 9,000 fewer violence with injury crimes, with knife crime plummeting by seven per cent and 1,154 fewer offences in the last 12 months.<\/p>\n The mayor of London has recently said: “The latest figures show robbery, theft, residential burglary and knife crime are down in London, but there’s still a long way to go before I’m satisfied. Backed with record funding from City Hall, the Met is putting high-visibility policing at the heart of fighting crime.”<\/p>\n Colliers Wood knife fight<\/p>\n Three young men fought with knives <\/a>Colliers Wood Tube <\/a>station on Wednesday morning. Police and ambulance descended on the scene and arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon. The man was taken to hospital with a head wound.<\/p>\n Read the full story here<\/a><\/p>\n Maida Vale stabbing<\/p>\n A man was stabbed to death in West London<\/a>. The 40-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene in Tollgate House, Tollgate Gardens in Maida Vale, at about 9.40pm on Friday (December 19).<\/p>\n Forensics were seen <\/a>combing the scene, with a suspect yet to be arrested. Read the full story here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Stonebridge murder<\/p>\n Simon Whyte, 55, was shot dead in Stonebridge on Friday night. Cops raced to West End Close. Despite their best efforts, he died at the scene.<\/p>\n There have been no arrests.
