In 2022, the pair were seen riding around the streets of Montecito on e-bikes – marking the first time a childhood friend had been pictured with the Prince since his move in 2020.

Other friends on the roster could include Violet von Westenholz, who first introduced Harry and Meghan, as well as George Northwood, the Duchess’ longtime pal who styled her hair for her wedding reception, and Sarah Chapman, the high-end facialist who has worked with Meghan since 2017. Could Misan Harriman also be sent a jar? The photographer, who is also a friend of the couple, has been entrusted by Meghan and Harry to capture important moments in their lives, including their wedding and the announcement of their second child’s pregnancy.

It’s likely that Meghan Markle will opt to send some jam to a few choice A-list friends, who (with one or two posts on Instagram) could help to promote As Ever. Sabrina Elba might be in line to receive a pot and a personalised note, as she and her husband, the actor Idris, attended Harry and Meghan’s wedding in 2018. The Elbas are regulars on the social scene, hobnobbing with royals and heading to Wimbledon and Royal Ascot; at the weekends, they retreat to their Cotswolds bolthole, a house near the smart set’s favourite village of Burford.
