I\u2019ve sharpened my knives. I don&#8217;t give a **** who I have to cut up. I just want to eat. **** everyone else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">In another recording intercepted by the GUR, a Russian soldier was reportedly heard complaining about the lack of available supplies, saying: \u201cGas canisters are not issued, f**k. What we get is canned meat, grains, and cigarettes, and that\u2019s it \u2013 nothing else. In June this year, it became known that a serviceman of the 68th Motor Rifle Division of the Russian <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/armed-forces\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">Armed Forces<\/a> had been eating his \u2018comrade\u2019 for two weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">In a message to Putin\u2019s hungry troops, the Ukrainians said: \u201cThe Main Intelligence Directorate of the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/ministry-of-defence\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" rel=\"follow noopener\" tabindex=\"0\">Ministry of Defence<\/a> of Ukraine reminds [you that] Russian prisoners of war in Ukraine are fed three times a day.\u201d They were given instructions on how to safely surrender.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Separately, footage has appeared of Ukraine\u2019s new defensive lines in Zaporizhzhia region to prevent Putin\u2019s troops taking more territory. Kyiv\u2019s defence minister Denys Shmyhal said: \u201cWork on the construction of fortifications continues in all front-line regions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/0_PAY-Tank-pulling-container-1-east2west-news.jpg\" alt=\"Footage shows a T-62 Russian tank dragging a sea container across a field for 'military purposes'\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Russian forces have started using sea containers for protection, new pictures show(Image: social media; east2west news)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Across the frontline regions he said: \u201cThe forces of the State Special Transport Service have already built 2,130 platoon strongholds, around 1,864 miles of anti-tank ditches, more than 621 miles of barricade pyramids, about 9,942 miles of Egoza [razor wire] barrier lines and roughly 2,672 miles of low-visibility obstacles.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">Meanwhile, Russian forces have started using metal sea containers as protection for tanks in one of the more bizarre innovations of the war.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \" data-tmdatatrack=\"content-unit\" data-tmdatatrack-type=\"paragraph\">This is seen as offering protection from Ukrainian aerial drone strikes. Footage shows the tanks on patrol on the frontline with the fitted sea containers.
