<\/p>\nMy Mister, the dark South Korean drama, has found a new UK streaming home on Prime Video. The award-winning series has proven to be a major hit with fans, who have dubbed it a “masterpiece”. <\/p>\n
Directed by Kim Won-suk (When Life Gives You Tangerines) and written by Park Hae-young, the 16-part series first aired in South Korea in 2018. <\/p>\n
“The world’s most ordinary businessman becomes a friend with a young lonely and mysterious girl,” reads the logline. <\/p>\n
K-pop singer Lee Ji-eun (IU) stars as Lee Ji-an, a young woman struggling with debt while supporting her grandmother. When she meets Park Dong-hoon, an older structural engineer weighed down by responsibility and betrayal, the pair form an unlikely bond. <\/p>\n
Park Dong-hoon is played by the late Lee Sun-kyun, who went on to star in the Academy Award-winning Parasite in 2019. <\/p>\n
