{"id":647458,"date":"2025-12-22T02:42:15","date_gmt":"2025-12-22T02:42:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/647458\/"},"modified":"2025-12-22T02:42:15","modified_gmt":"2025-12-22T02:42:15","slug":"man-utd-suffer-huge-bruno-fernandes-blow-ahead-of-leeds-united","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/647458\/","title":{"rendered":"Man Utd suffer huge Bruno Fernandes blow ahead of Leeds United"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsallover.com\/tag\/leeds-united\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leeds United<\/a> are raring to go against anyone in the Premier League when we\u2019re at Elland Road, and up next in West Yorkshire after the new year are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsallover.com\/tag\/manchester-united\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Manchester United<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>United\u2019s form has taken a major upturn thanks to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsallover.com\/daniel-farke-reveals-leeds-united-tactical-switch-on-joe-rodon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">newfound pragmatism from Daniel Farke<\/a> in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsallover.com\/daniel-farke-on-brink-of-leeds-united-sacking-this-week\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">face of real adversity<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Leeds\u2019 switch to a 3-5-2 has allowed Farke to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsallover.com\/leeds-united-4-1-crystal-palace-oliver-glasner-rattled-at-full-time-footage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">find marked improvements from almost all of his starting lineup and subs<\/a>. But, for us fans, the next time we\u2019re returning to LS11 is for the fixture everyone from both sides of the rivalry looks for in the calendar.<\/p>\n<p>And, with the way we\u2019re playing at home against Chelsea, Liverpool and Crystal Palace, we\u2019re fearing no one.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s not going to be the classic \u2018Elland Road under the floodlights\u2019 \u2013 it\u2019s only ever going to be early kickoffs at home to that lot \u2013 but this place won\u2019t ever be more hostile.<\/p>\n<p>Manchester United rocked by \u201cmassive\u201d Bruno Fernandes blow ahead of Leeds United meeting<\/p>\n<p>The Red Devils won\u2019t be heading to West Yorkshire in their best shape, importantly.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s because three key players are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leedsallover.com\/leeds-uniteds-rivals-west-ham-suffer-huge-afcon-blow-wan-bissaka-diouf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">already involved in AFCON duty<\/a>: Bryan Mbeumo (Cameroon), Amad (Ivory Coast), and Noussair Mazraoui (Morocco). You\u2019d imagine all three qualify for the knockouts and are ruled out for January 4th.<\/p>\n<p>But, even more integral than these three is Bruno Fernandes. The Portuguese playmaker was captured feeling his hamstring throughout the first half at Aston Villa on Sunday. But, we have to cope with that,\u201d Ruben Amorim said, per the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/sport\/football\/bruno-fernandes-manchester-united-injury-aston-villa-b2888607.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Independent<\/a>. \u201cI think it\u2019s soft tissue so it\u2019s going to take a while. We\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s massive. We don\u2019t know how bad it is but for him to come off the game\u2026\u201d compatriot Diogo Dalot added. \u201cWe know how tough he is, hopefully it is not too bad, and we keep with him for the next games.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Leeds United have huge opportunity to put Manchester United to the sword without Bruno Fernandes<\/p>\n<p>At the minute, I think we\u2019re all in agreement that we\u2019d fancy ourselves against literally any team on the planet on our own turf.<\/p>\n<p>That includes a Man United side who are a shell of the side that we used to tussle with 20-plus years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Add to that the fact Mbeumo, Adam, Mazraoui and now Fernandes look like being missing.
