Not only have Leeds opened up the gap, but gone ahead of Nottingham Forest, who take on Fulham on Monday night, 15th against 17th.

As things stand, who finishes in 18th place? Leeds fans are not under any illusions of escaping the scrap for the drop zone and will remain of the opinion that 17th is good enough. Alan Pardew had his say.

Photo by Newcastle United/Newcastle United via Getty ImagesAlan Pardew names the third-worst side in the Premier League

Sean Dyche has made a remarkable start as Forest manager, winning seven of his 12 games. But Forest still remain in 17th place despite wins against Tottenham and Liverpool under the guidance of Dyche.

They go to Fulham tonight, who have won four of their last six Premier League matches but will be reeling from their Carabao Cup quarter-final defeat. But Pardew believes the third-worst side is his old team.

MORE LEEDS UNITED STORIES

He told TalkSPORT: “They’ve [West Ham] got to do some business. Maybe the best display this term.

But Leeds cannot let up now. Farke would have snapped your hand off for 19 points from 17 games ahead of the busy post-Christmas schedule, in which Leeds face both Liverpool away and Man United.

Firstly, Leeds take on Sunderland away from home and it is a good time to play Regis Le Bris’ high-flying Black Cats. Avoiding defeat against Sunderland is key, especially with West Ham playing host to Fulham.

Going into the new year’s run of games after five unbeaten would give Leeds huge confidence when they go to Anfield and then host their bitter rivals, all in the space of just three days in 2026.

 Join Our Newsletter

Receive a digest of our best Leeds content each week direct to your mailbox

The feeling among Premier League supporters when it comes to the race against relegation is that Wolves are…

[8814
96624,748,393,4884,1860,16,15
0":"post-647995","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-leeds","8":"tag-alan-pardew","9":"tag-britain","10":"tag-england","11":"tag-great-britain","12":"tag-leeds","13":"tag-uk","14":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
