On Monday Billy Gaddi of the Daily Record was contacting the Rutherglen Vogue CSC looking to get two seats to Tannadice on Wednesday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Friday Gaddi was smearing the \u2018blade moron\u2019 among the Celtic support for the Record website.<\/p>\n

The story was instantly trashed. It had less credibility than Craig Whyte\u2019s off the radar wealth. Ask Keith about that one Billy if you are reading\/trawling.<\/p>\n

With the blade terror story taken apart Gaddi wasn\u2019t deterred. On Saturday the Record carried it as a page lead, any excuse to put the boot into Celtic fans goes down well with their ageing Army of Readers.<\/p>\n

Gaddi could now be climbing the ladder at the Record, a rising star.<\/p>\n

Outside in the real world his credibility is shot to pieces. Especially among Celtic fans which is kind of unfortunate for hoops daft Gaddi<\/a>.<\/p>\n

THE RECORD AGENDA<\/p>\n

Over the last few days he has achieved notoriety online. The army of Internet Bampots were quickly on the \u2018story\u2019 which first came to light in the darkest corners of social media.<\/p>\n

Only the thickest of the thick, the most gullible of the gullible would take a blade to a Scottish football ground.<\/p>\n

What sort of idiot would then take their blade out, casually lean over a column of Police Officers and taunt Celtic directors with the blade?<\/p>\n

Amazingly that sort of story is believable inside the Daily Record.<\/p>\n

No News Editor or sub-editor stepped in to say \u2018wait a minute, that is pish Billy. We\u2019ll be a laughing stock printing that sort of story\u2019.<\/p>\n

The Record has been decimated in recent years inside the Reach Group but there must be someone between Gaddi and the PUBLISH button. Another story to trash what is left of the Record\u2019s credibility.<\/p>\n

No. It seems not. The story went online on Friday afternoon, it was out in print on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Created by a Celtic fan that was hoping to get on a Supporters Bus from Rutherglen to Dundee on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

STREETWISE BHOYS<\/p>\n

Fortunately the Vogue bus<\/a> are street-wise, they\u2019ve been round the block and back again a few times.<\/p>\n

When a random gets in touch through social media to book two seats it isn\u2019t difficult to do a quick check on them.<\/p>\n

Take a look at their profile, what content they share, who they follow.<\/p>\n

Gaddi seems genuine when you look at who he follows, loads of Celtic accounts.<\/p>\n

But that is where his credibility ends. It is quite clear that he is a Daily Record reporter, sharing his own stories and other trash from the ailing Glasgow publisher.<\/p>\n

Note to Billy- you won\u2019t find many CSC\u2019s rolling out the welcome mat for you or your colleagues. Celtic fans are rightly suspicious of anyone employed by that organisation.<\/p>\n

THE DIGITAL FUTURE IS NOW<\/p>\n

After Google checking \u2018wealth off the radar\u2019 a search for \u2018thugs and thieves\u2019 tells you all you want to know about the Daily Record.<\/p>\n

Any young Celtic fans with aspirations for a career in journalism has plenty of options.<\/p>\n

There are a number of well established independent Celtic websites<\/a>. They welcome new writers. Share opinions, break news stories.<\/p>\n

No one needs to go down the legacy media path.<\/p>\n

Online there is a massive market for Celtic news and views. The options have never been greater- as long as you are genuine, the real deal.<\/p>\n

Stories like the blade moron only accelerate the inevitable death of the Daily Record. Perhaps Gaddi has unexpectedly done us all a favour.<\/p>\n
