A person has been rushed to hospital after a crash on a major Sheffield road.<\/p>\n

Traffic has been halted on the A6135 Burngreave Road<\/a> in both directions ever since the crash at about 1pm today (Monday, December 22). The road is affected from B6075 Minna Road to Catherine Road.<\/p>\n

Photos from the scene appear to show two cars were involved in a head-on collision. The patient has been taken to Northern General Hospital.<\/p>\n

A Yorkshire Ambulance Spokesperson said: “We received an emergency call just after 1pm on Monday afternoon to report a collision on Burngreave Road, Sheffield. Two ambulances were dispatched to the scene and one patient was conveyed to Northern General Hospital.”<\/p>\n

A South Yorkshire Police spokeserson said: “Emergency services are currently at the scene of a collision in Burngreave Road, near Minna Road. One person has been taken to hospital by ambulance and a road closure is in place while officers carry out further enquiries.”<\/p>\n
